I started having weight issues after my 1stchildbirth and this caused me terrible daily back pain in the 2nd pregnancy which I lost after 3 months. I had been trying HARD to work on the weight gained but to no avail. My name is Yvonne who is very energetic so I thought doing exercise could help me lose weight. Yes, it did make me lose some weight but not as much as I wanted it. For years I have been trying so many things but to no avail till I saw a cousin of mine by name Diana. I was amazed at her transformation; she had lost so much weight.
She introduced me to Nutriline and I started the Diet program on the 1st of April, 2015 weighting 71.9kg. My target was to drop 11.9kg within 14 weeks, it has been 10 weeks and I have lost 11.8kg.

I am Akosua. I have steadily gained about a kilo a year over the past twenty years or so and never paid much attention to my diet. From time to time I would resolve to lose some weight but never managed to drop more than a few kilos and promptly gained it back, and more. I have become increasingly health conscious in recent years and have understood the relationship between emotional, spiritual and physical health but losing weight for the sake of it seemed too much of a challenge. Then a doctor told me that women aged sixty and above are at high risk for strokes and related illnesses and scared me into seeing a dietician. I have lost a total of ten kilos over the last year, eight in the six-month programme I signed up for with Nutriline. I entered the programme determined to reach my target of a ten-kilo loss, from 86 to 76 kilos. I have also dropped two dress sizes and lost a total of nine inches, two inches off my bust, three off my waist and four off my hips.
The first two months were the most difficult. When the Nutriline nutritionist showed me the proper portions I needed I felt like I had been condemned to starvation. I lost half a kilo steadily for three or four weeks and then gained a kilo! The following week I lost what I had gained, and more, and from that learnt how to maintain a steady weight loss week after week for the most part.
The secret for me is to commit to the regular weekly visits where you receive reinforcement on your good days and information to help you re-focus on the bad ones. Every time I said to myself that I would wait until I had lost the weight I had regained to see the nutritionist, I actually gained more.
Another lesson I learned was to focus on the benefits of the weight loss programme rather than the comfort food I had to give up. Really once you understand that the junk you eat causes long-term damage to your body, you may still crave it and eat it but it somehow no longer tastes the same. As you begin to exercise more self-control and see results, you realize that you have more control over your life and circumstances than you think you do. In addition, what better gift can you give yourself and your family than good health?
I have lost my cravings, mercifully; once you avoid certain foods over a period of time your body seems to forget about them. Craving begets more craving. Skipping meals leads to bingeing and faster weight gain.
No more yoyo dieting for me; I use juice made from my favorite vegetables in the mornings in addition to my breakfast to keep me going until the afternoon meal and as a snack in mod-afternoon if I need one, and drink a lot of herbal tea without sugar. I then have a small evening meal before seven and have been successful in maintaining my weight at 77 kilos for the past six months. I feel much stronger now and can climb five flights of steps without stopping or panting.
